Durrty GoodzFrom Grime Wikipedia(Redirected from Doogz)
BiographyDurrty Goodz, formerly known as Doogz (real name Dwayne Mahorn), is a grime MC from Stratford, East London. He is known for his great versatility, which can be seen in his ability to jump on Grime, Hip-Hop, Bashment, and RnB tracks, although grime is the genre many of his fans favour him spitting over. His witty lines and great flow have won him many new fans over the years, and he is one of the best and talented emcees to grace the scene. He is known for the heavy basslines which he spits over, and the crossover to dubstep (Take Back The Scen was produced by Coki). Doogz was signed to Polydor records, but has since left the label apparently due to a lack of freedom and creative space which probably means he was dropped. His departure from Polydor seems vindicated after the release of the Axiom EP, which is recognised as one of the best grime releases of 2007. Durrty Goodz is currently working on a track with F-tizzle and asher d for F-tizzle's remix of 'out in the street' produced by the movement from milton keynes IMP batch. Durrty Goodz styles himself as the saviour of the Grime scene although some could argue that he is very detached from the scene as he said he was back in 2004 when he said he was leaving Boyz In Da Hood to Crazy Titch. He is rarely on radio apart from around the time of his releases and he does not collaborate with many other artists. HistoryOn Thursday 2 November 2006, Dwayne Mahorn aka Durrty Goodz was cleared of the murder and manslaughter of 21 year-old Richard Holmes. Just seconds earlier, his stepbrother Carl Dobson, better known as Crazy Titch, was found guilty and sentenced to 30 years in prison. The killing was seen as revenge for supposed "disrespect" to Durrty Goodz by Holmes's associate Shak. Goodz has since bounced back from his prison sentence and association with the murder, releasing and album and an EP. BeefsDurrty Goodz is known to have beefed. Along with this he is one of the very few Emcees to have actually won a clash against wiley at an eskimo dance. In 2009 Killa P sent for Durrty Goodz but received no reply. Most sends for Goodz stress that he is not a real yard man. MixtapesForthcoming ReleasesFeaturesLord Of The Decks 679 more to add Durrty Goodz FreestyleExternal Links | ||||||||||||||||||
