Biography

JP (otherwise known as Joseph Patterson) is a journalist and club night promoter. He started up his first club night in Northampton in April 2007 named 'ChockABlock' where acts such as Skepta, Tinchy Stryder and more performed. Since then the event has gone from strength to strength with it branching into London in 2008.

Whilst setting up the event, JP decided to start a blog in which he talks about everything from music and raves to garments and life. The blog itself has been running since September 2007 and it already had a staggering amount of hits. While writing the blog, JP was offered to write for fashion and music magazine SUPERSUPER, where he talks about whats going on the UK underground, he now is a Contrbuting Music Editor & Clubs Editor for the magazine. He is also a columnist for publications such as, The Voice, JD Sports Magazine and Artrocker, whilst freelancing for Mixmag and Ctrl+ Alt+ Shift+. He has also written for Dazed & Confused and New Nation.

JP also works alongside the Design Manager for Desinger label Maharishi as a Talent Advisor, which includes finding acts that would suit the label for sponsorship and more.
