One a.k.a Nitrous is of Jamaican decent and discovered his talent in music early on in life when his mother bought him his first Casio keyboard at the young age of six. After finally recognising his ability to create music he endeavored to put together a studio where he now spends most of his time making beats and writing lyrics.
After the death of his school mate Danny Broome, One put together a group called O.T.M (One Track Mindz) consisting of nine members all from Northolt’s Race Course estate in West London, most of the members witnessed the fight that resulted in the tragic murder and fueled the tracks on the groups first album “Constant teen”
His outstanding performance at the battle for the mike “Jump Off” was held in Acton Town Hall and was selected to perform at the semi finals which was highlighted on the “Jump Off” My-space and u-tube pages. Although there was not a record deal at the end of that show, he is prepared and determined to put in the work in order to do more live shows and break through in the music industry. He has two mix tape CD’s that are circulating in the underground circuit one which is hip hop flavoured and the second which is more grime orientated and has local anthems like “ barefoot bounce” and “London London”.
One is currently working on a new mix tape which has strong grime / garage flavor and some very fluid and conscious lyrics
