QuincyFrom Grime Wikipedia
Born and raised in the East End of London Isle of dogs E14, Jerome Quintyne was heavily influenced by music at an early age as his father is a reggae DJ, in the year 2000 at the age of 13 he followed in his father's footsteps by purchasing his first set of turntables providing a kick start into the world of music. The next couple of years would take Quincy around the underground circuit, featuring on many pirate radio stations and club nights alongside his former collective. In 2003, unsatisfied with playing the music, Quincy started to develop himself as a recording artist, leading to his first mixtape release in 2004,“The E14 Mixtape”, which was a self distributed compilation featuring similar artists from the E14 area in London. This project was released at a time where UK based urban music was gaining a mainstream recognition and thus showed Quincy the potential of success in British based music, leading to him adopting a business like attitude towards music and starting Movement Records. In 2006, Movement Records put out their debut release “Bomb Squad – B.O.M.B”, which received success, the music video for the single reached number one in the Channel U Official UK Urban Chart.
