Born and raised in East London, Rival has gone from spinning tunes on the decks as a DJ to one of the grime scenes angriest MC's with a reputation for aggressive bars.

Biography

Before Rival became the MC that we all know he was a DJ mixing at youth clubs in his local area. This led to him then becoming a DJ for crew Highly Rated. As a result of this was was shortly doing sets at stations such as Axe FM, Urban Tingz and Heat Fm. Fast forward two years and Rival decided to leave Highly Rated feeling there was no respect for him musically with his role as a DJ.

A year out of of music and along came the year of 2008. Feeling reinvigorated he re-entered the scene as an MC. What started as a trial, to see whether he could manage, would now see Rival possessing the workrate, wordplay and delivery to keep him going for many years to come. Still forever in the studio Rival contines to work and prove why he is one to keep a eye on in the scene.
